One Direction’s Liam Payne admits he worries about Zayn Malik

One Direction's Liam Payne often admits to being like the dad of the group – and that extends to worrying about the wellbeing of his bandmates.

In a new interview Liam reveals that of all the boys – Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik – Liam fears most about how Zayn is coping with fame,

“The only person I really worry about is Zayn, because I don’t think he’s quite accustomed to all of this,” Liam tells The Sun.

“He had a terrible time on Twitter, as did Danielle [Liam’s now ex-girlfriend]. I don’t think he’s quite adjusted to it yet, but I’m sure he’ll get it. He’s my best mate, I’ve got to look out for him.”

Zayn himself has spoken out to say that while he loves being part of One Direction he finds fame difficult to deal with,

“I love the fact that I'm in a band, but it's very hard because of the type of person I was before. I was very reserved and just did my own thing. I guess I've probably found it the most difficult out of the boys,” Zayn said in a recent interview.

When it all finishes I hope we stay mates

As well as talking about his worries for One Direction, Liam has also spoken about every 1D’ers worst nightmare, the end of the group.

The sensible 19 year old has said that when One Direction do split up he hopes to stay friends with the rest of the group,
“It’s mad to think that I didn’t know them two years ago and now they are my best mates,” he says.

“There is going to come a time when it all finishes and I just hope we do stay mates. We’ve had such a good laugh together and achieved so much together. We’re definitely like brothers.”
